On Sunday, May 27, Eric Sorensen, 50, vice president of the class of 1981, passed away at home in Satellite Beach surrounded by family.  Eric bravely battled a terminal illness since the fall of 2012 and did so with his trademark humor and big smile.  Active in numerous Mel-Hi activities and organizations from 1979-1981, Eric was President of the Key Club during his senior year and went on to attend and graduate from Auburn University.  Details of his service are not yet known, but go to www.caringbridge.org and enter his name and you’ll find tributes and more information there.  Eric is survived by his mother, siblings Chris and Carolyn, two daughters and a long list of friends and acquaintances who will never forget him.
