In early February 2013, Gary Richard “Ricky” Lutz, 49, also class of 1981, passed away at home in Cocoa Beach. In both high school and his professional career, Ricky was an award-winning, inspired artist and graphics illustrator.  Known for his creative designs for surfboards, boogie boards and more, Ricky was also active in Mel-Hi organizations, including the Surf Club.   In high school, he was also known for his creative surfing style and long hair bangs!  He graduated from the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota in 1984 and designed under the name RLutz Creations.  Rick is survived by his wife, children, mother and a large extended family.
